This Shadow (The Hedgehog)

THIS SHADOW (THE HEDGEHOG)
==========================

As a kid I always liked violent video games, so when I became a fan of the Sonic the Hedgehog series, I nearly fell in love with the characters. I had gotten hyped up when I started watching the cutscenes of Shadow the Hedgehog. The graphics could have been better at the time, but a good game overall. So after around a year, I managed to buy a preowned PlayStation 2 version of the game from a gaming store by the name of GAME. I was nearly overjoyed by the fact that I owned it.

Shadow as a character never did please me with his so called sad and depressing past, with the death of his friend Maria. In the game I knew about the Black Arms, and how Shadow had obtained the ability to work weapons like a handgun, and that he mildly swore throughout the game.

After coming back from the shop with my parents, I instantly went to my room and turned on the PlayStation 2. I put it in and started. The game loaded and the normal starting save data menu had appeared. I of course clicked the new file and nearly jumped out of my skin at a sudden gunshot SFX from my small black TV. Damn game...I never knew that would happen. I instantly recovered and watched the starting cutscene.

The music for Shadow's game had always had my vote as the best soundtrack in a Sonic game, but the theme song "I Am All Of Me" wasn't playing. Only the sounds of a dying city in the background. The cutscene showed Shadow standing in front of a half-destroyed moon. Funny, I thought they had a plot-hole with the moon. Back in Sonic Adventure 2, Dr Eggman had blown half the moon up as threat to the planet. I must have an up to date one or something! This is so cool!

The black hedgehog looked slightly darker than he should have been. His stance was strange too, with a dead GUN soldier in one hand and what looked like a glowing red Chaos Emerald. Again, I thought it was a better version. I never liked the United Federation anyway.

The screen suddenly was swarmed by Black Arms aliens called Death Leeches around the dead human. Shadow smirked as a shiver went down my spine. The screen then faded to show his glowing red eyes and grin for a slight moment. The game was suddenly was brought to another menu, this time the starter menu to start the game. It then didn't act different at all. No difference to the game or levels. Westoplas was a wreck as it should be. I played until I had spotted a GUN soldier fighting off Black Arms.

I felt a rush of anger at the agent from god knows where and attacked him. He screamed in agony as Shadow shot at him, again with a small grin across his muzzle. Blood pooled around the dead and Shadow's hover skates, staining the pure white design. I also smiled at it. One down, twenty-nine to go.

Time and time again I shot and murdered the GUN agents, until I came across the end of the stage: a Chaos Emerald floating within a ring. I jumped into it and waited for the normal mission ranking screen to pop up, but it only showed Shadow standing there with the gun in his left hand.

Nothing happened as he dropped the gun and ran off the screen, heading to the next level. No cutscene with Black Doom or Sonic. Just skipping to the GUN Fortress level. That's quite a skip. This must be a hacked game or something. I sadly sighed, but continued to play.

I killed more and more GUN soldiers and somehow met up with Black Doom. He congratulated me with my mission on making the humans pay. Shadow didn't bother looking nor answering the Black Arms leader. The next level wasn't a boss with Sonic for the last boss of that path, but sent to Sky Troops. The only level with some difference to me.

It had my name in its title.

Sky without the added "e", but still seemed to link with me. Another cutscene showed with Shadow and Black Doom over looking the level, but as Black Doom talked about that the stage was a flying fortress that he had created over 2000 years before, Shadow stared upward and for the first time, I truly saw his face. Blood had stained his fur and deep dark circles around his eyes as if he had been crying for hours on end. His fur also seemed to be dirty and ungroomed, so it looked nothing like his normal self or like the cover. Black Doom had sank into the floor and left the hedgehog alone.

A voice began to whisper from the speakers in my TV.

"Why did you make me do it? I do want revenge from the humans on Maria, but not like this. Never..."

The "never" had impacted me like a brick. Shadow was talking about the way I was playing the game and choosing his path. He then looked straight at me through the screen.

"Why did you make me a monster, Skye?"

My jaw dropped. Shadow had just said my name and looked at me. My heart seemed to soar in happiness, but mixed with horror. Tears run down his face as his whole body began to shudder.

"I know you care about me. But not the real people around you. Just only me."

A grin slightly grew on his face. I couldn't stand it. This Shadow wasn't the Shadow that I knew and started to actually care about. This was the terror I had created that only looked like him. But I couldn't dare look away from his face.

"I don't want to kill like this anymore...make me stop...before it happens again, Skye...""

As I was about to reset the game, it screeched at me. Shadow screamed in pain as darkness overtook the screen. I suddenly try to talk through the screen just as Shadow had did before.

"Shadow, don't give up into it! Don't!"

My emotions overflowed as nothing had appeared on my screen. Then after moments of silence I spotted a young human girl with blonde hair and blue dress. Not her...anyone but her! The girl just stood there with a small version of Shadow lying in its pool of blood, dead.

Then as the girl turned around, her face changed from her normal facial structure to disfigured and menacing to the eye, and then changed to quite a similar face. My face. I wailed in terror at the sight and then she started to laugh at the dead corpse of the younger Shadow. Then I hear Shadow's voice coming from the game again.

"...Too...late...for...you...Skye..."

Skye was found dead with a handgun in one hand while holding onto a bloody Shadow the Hedgehog plushie by the hand with a grim smile across its face. All police officers that had seen said scene has been murdered or caused suicide. One officer that was saved from hanging himself screams about a brown haired female teenager with a black and red hedgehog threatening him to not say anything or they would torture him forever...he then was found dead later that night with a direct gunshot to the forehead. Only thing found were bloody footprints of hover skates and trainers.

Diddy Kong Racing - The Satanic Code

DIDDY KONG RACING - THE SATANIC CODE
====================================

The time was right for me to go through my classic Nintendo 64 games, at this time most games were being ported, remade, emulated, or brought back to us today. But instead I just decided to use my Diddy Kong Racing cartridge that I had once beaten as a child, with all levels, characters, etc.

Then I had also realized I had an unopened GameShark Nintendo 64 that my relatives gave to me for Christmas ( I didn’t know what the hell it was so I never bothered to open it) but now I realize what GameShark is and what its functions are. So I decided, Hey, maybe I could use cheats for DKR.

I got onto my computer and went to Google to type in Diddy Kong Racing GameShark Codes. I had come across this one interesting site that had a whole variety of codes, such as infinite Bananas or even cheats you could already use ingame within its own code system. Then I looked for the GameShark exclusive codes and came across one in particular entitled _“SATAN”_ and I wondered what that was about, so I loaded my GameShark and typed that long code into DiddyKongRacings Cartridge.

When I started the game, everything seemed fine, until I got to the character select screen, my select cursor was on the clock T.T. (that took me forever to unlock must I add), but it wouldn’t let me move it over to another character, I thought maybe the controller was broken but everything checked out fine with it. So when I chose T.T., he just remained silent, though the joyous music continued to play.

I decided to bring him to the tracks, and out of random, I chose Fossil Canyon. Though when I chose which vehicle to play, I could only use the Plane, the options for the Car and Hovercraft were eliminated somehow. The race began as usual, though the 3rd person prospective was not shown in my character, It was almost as if I was riding on T.T.’s Shoulder and he was soaring through the level like superman, but that didn’t make it anymore difficult, so I just played through.

The characters all got off the starting line as I did, and for the most part of the race, I was in last place, until I found one of those orange/red rings you could fly through to get a boost on the plane, however, for some reason it was no ring at all, when I approached it, it looked like I was going into some Solar Eclipse looking object, once I went through it, the boost effect worked, though instead of hearing the boost sound, it made a different sound that sounded like a giant clock bell being struck.

Then the music continued after the boost had finished, but I noticed one thing… The characters were all gone from the track, none of them had even finished the Fossil Canyon track… I was so confused, where did they all go? I felt maybe it was a glitch from using GameShark, but it had to be more serious than that. I finished the race, but when I crossed the finish line after the Final Lap, the “FINISH” line you would normally hear at the end was not heard, and instead, a deeper and more frightening version of Wizpig’s laugh could be heard.

This is where I began to panic, I knew that GameShark Hacking could mean serious business, though I was really wondering if any cheat device could cause this all to occur. So I returned to the tracks menu and chose different tracks to play on, and the characters had still vanished.

So I decided to play the adventure mode with this “Satanic T.T.”. When I went to select a game file to play, the files name, which was once my initials, was now “TTX” I assumed the TT stood for T.T., and the X could have meant Satan.

The joyous island music that played did not play. The whole area was dead silent, not even the birds or the frogs could be heard, nor was Taj the elephant anywhere to be found. I thought I could somehow summon Taj by honking at the big circle in the middle of the field, but instead I got this big message that came up saying *“THERE IS NO HOPE – TAJ”* …. Now I was creeped out, I took a ride around the area, and noticed T.T. had still remained in the lobbies. I walked over to talk to him and he said something along the lines of *“*&$%!#^@ OR DEATH”* I immediately rushed out of the Dino Demain lobby where I talked to him.

The giant wizpig head where you first raced Wizpig had been closed, but the eyes still lit up, and its eyes tended to follow you every time you entered the main field. I took the Satan T.T. character to Future FunLand, and noticed I could still access the Second Wizpig Door. I had talked to the FFL Lobby T.T. and all he had to say was *“There’s only death to purify the world and its inhabitants”* and that completely made no sense to me, but was still a bit creepy.

I went through the second wizpig door, but instead there being Wizpig to crash through the rocks, it was the life size Satan T.T., who blasted his was to the starting line making a sort of Godzilla roar. The race began, the race was not at all normal though, The Satan T.T. I was racing looked exactly and flew exactly the way mine did, though when we approached the item balloons, each balloon was a still shot of each Playable Character floating in mid-air (such as Diddy, Tiptup, Conker, and Bumper) and once you’d hit a balloon, you’d hear a sort of messed up audio sound of their own character voices, as if they were being tortured or murdered. The items worked regularly though.

After a few tries, I eventually managed to defeat The massive Satan T.T. When I defeated him, music came up that sounded like the Angry Aztec Lobby from Donkey Kong 64. Then the text appeared *“YOUR SOUL HAS BEEN SUCCEEDED, THERE IS NO MORE DEATH, NO MORE PAIN, NO MORE CRYING”*. The screen fades to black for about 13 seconds (I thought the game froze ).

The Diddy Kong Racing startup screen loaded and everything worked ok again, you could select your own character and T.T. was no longer Satan T.T., when I selected a character however, The message that was supposed to come up was replaced with this text. *“MYTHOLOGY, I HAVE TAKEN THAT, AND IT WILL COME TO YOU THAT YOU CAN HAVE ULTIMATE POWER, NOW PLAY, PLAY YOUR GAME AND LETS FORGET THIS EVER OCCURRED”*.

-The End.

AbandonLONLINESS (Pokemon)

 AbandonLONLINESS
 ================

Hello, all! I'm here to tell you about a bizzar Pokemon game that I once got my hands on. Its quite an odd story, but please bare with me and listen up.

So, awhile back I got given a copy of Pokemon Leaf Green by a friend. She said she tryed out the game, but fell bored of it very quickly. I could see just how quickly she got bored, as she had only 3 minuets of game play. She called her character "LEAF", I guess maybe because of the games title "Leaf Green"? I wanted to play a new game, but I firstly wanted to see if she even bothered to leave Pallet Town to activate the event where Oak takes you to the lab and gives you a Pokemon.

I start up the game to find that the player is laying in her bed in her bedroom. Except, the bed is in the middle of the room, everything in the room is missing except the TV and bed, and the left side of the floor is a dark colour, while the other side is lighter. Also, the area's name is "Emptiness" not Pallet Town. Perhaps she gave up on the game because of this weird change to the over world? Oh yes, almost forgot to mention. No music is playing by this time. Befor leaving the bed, I hit the start button which opened up the menu. It turns out she did have a Pokemon, so I checked exactly what Starter Pokemon she chose was. To my suprise, she actually has a level 10 EEVEE, nicknamed "LONLINESS". I know EEVEE is an impossible starter, but I couldnt help notice that the E was missing from the word "LONELINESS". Maybe she didnt know the spelling of LONELINESS. I guessed this might have been the case since she wasnt very good at spelling. On closer inspections, the Eevee apear to be sad, instead of having a happy smile on its face. Its nature is "LONELY" nature, and its attacks are as follows: Tackle, Screech, Grudge and Nightmare.

I leave the bed, and make my way over to the TV. I pressed the A button to see if it would worked, and it did! The text said "You're not wanted here!". Well, isnt that nice? Since I can't do anything in this room, I exit downstairs and just like with upstairs, the only thing in the room is a TV, except the this time, the tiles on the floor spell out the word "GO!" (With the exclamation mark). I check the TV, and the text says "Don't leave me." Well, I had no choice BUT to leave since there was nothing to do in this boring room. So, I exit south to the waiting Pallet Town.

I leave the house, and instead of being in Pallet Town, I am in some large foggy place? The surrounding grass is coloured red and the house that I left is cut in half, with only the bottom part showing. There are gates surrounding the path, which prevents me from exiting and the music that is playing is the music that plays at the abandoned mansion, and there is a path heading East. Befor heading down the eastern path, I notice there is a sign post. I walk up the the sign post and hit the A button, revealing the text as "VEE…". Finaly, there is another path going south, except I cant reach it because the gate prevents me from walking to it.

I walked down the path for what seemed to be about 8 seconds, when an NPC scrolls in. He apears to be standing on the gate, and his body is purely white, with a gaping mouth and blood trailing from his eyes. A very spook sight, if I say so myself. I am able to interact with the NPC, and he says "Can't you do better?". Is… Is he taunting me? Well, regardless, I continue down the path. The surrounding grass turns to black, but the red path is still there. I walk towards the end of the path where there is a small door. Walking into the door, I am taken off to a different map. I apear in a small school-like house with no black board and a small desk with a book on it. I walked up to the desk and checked the book.

"He was so alone. His sorrow filled eyes made me so unhealthy, so hurt. I wanted to help him, so I did..."

I have no clue who the author behind that book would be, but I shrugged it off. Another one of those white NPCs is standing beside the desk, so I walked up to him and spoke to him. "He was so kind. His smile. His laugh." he said. Leaving the house, I am taken back to the previous map, except this time I am in that path heading south which I could not reach befor.

I walked south down the path to find there are some letters faded on the left side of the gate, with 5 white NPCs on the other side. The letters apear to spell out the word "FRIEND", with a question mark under the 5 NPCs. "FRIEND?" is what it says. Someone is questioning if someone else was a friend. As I continue south, the red grass changes to a pitch black. There is also a large body of water, with green grass surrounding it. I walked my overworld sprite around the water and down the path. There is a door at the end of the path, and on either side of the gates there are two letters. By the looks of things, an "N" and an "O". I puzzled togeather the overworld text as "FRIEND? NO". So, this person or Pokemon wasnt a friend to someone else?

After exiting through the door, I find myself in a very confined space, with yet another white NPC standing at the end of this small room. When I spoke to him, he said "Why wasn't he? Well, See for yourself...". By this point, I was greatly attached to this game, and was desperate to get to the end of it. I exit south, and I'm taken to the Pokemon Tower. Theres a single path, which I can follow, except I cant go outside the barrier of grave stones. There are 3 white NPCs scattered around outside the grave stone barriers, and there is one on the path which I can speak to, who only says "...............". Towards the end of the path, I find an NPC who isnt another one of those white NPCs, but the Rival Blue! He is stood infront of a golden grave stone, and is facing me. When spoken to him, he says "No! Don't believe the ghosts! Run away! Before they get you!". I was sort of confused, and was still trying to puzzle togeather this odd story, but right now I wanted to find out what would happen next.

I exit the Pokemon Tower and I'm in Lavender Town. The music changes to the Lavender Town theme, and the town has little changes to it. Its raining, and the routes going North, South and West are blocked by wooden gates. I explored the town to find 3 more of those NPCs, lets call them ghosts since thats what Blue addressed them as. One of them is outside of the gate, so I am unable to reach him. One is stood beside the Pokemon Center, and another is stood beside the main house in Lavender Town. The one beside the Pokemon Center says "Oh, but we we're having so much fun! Do you really want to deny us?" and the one beside the house says "Kekekekekeke! Are you still going to believe the kid who betrayed LONLINESS?". Thats it, I got it! So, Blue abandoned the EEVEE named LONLINESS, but why? The only way to find out was to continue with this game. I enter the house beside that ghost to find alot of the stuff is missing. There is a Lass and a Bug Catcher sat at the table. I approach the girl and she says "This is frightning! I want to get out of this NIGHTMARE!". I walked over to the Bug Catcher and he says "The ghosts can't get in here. I wonder why?". But, wait, there is a third NPC in the house. Facing the window, its the male protagonist, Red! "LEAF! You're okay! No, no... You're not... Run, now! You have to discover the truth!" and with that, I leave the house just as Red commanded.

The next overworld map is the Pokemon fanclub in Vermilion City, except the people are missing and there is a fog here. May I also mention that the Lavender Town theme continues to play. I walk deeper into the house to find a ghost is stood beside a kind of glitchy patch of blocks. The ghost says "Right this way! Not like you have a choice..." - How very true! I walk into the bundle of blocks, but nothing happens and I apear trapped. I then tryed walking back south, when I am teleported off to the Pewter City gym, with no one there but Brock. The fog is still in effect as I walk up to Brock and speak with him. "T-R-U-T-H!" he says demandingly, as I am thrown into a battle with him. Atlast, lively music! Brock only has three Pokemon, each at level 2. He sends out his first one which is a BULBASAUR named "GHOSTS" as I send out my EEVEE, LONLINESS. I easily KO the BULBASAUR with tackle as he switches into a CHARMANDER named "TRICKED". The process repeates and he switches into his final Pokemon which is a SQUIRTLE named "HIM". While knocking out the last Pokemon, I noticed that togeather they say "GHOSTS TRICKED HIM". With that, I win the battle and Brock scrolls in, saying "CONTINUE...", handing me the Bolderbadge. Brocks text ends with a bundle of exclamation marks, and we are taken back to the overworld. "KEKEKEKE!!! Leaf received TM39 from BROCK. GHOST TRICKED HIM! HE IS WAITING! BEGONE! BEGONE!" Brock says. I exit the gym and I am taken to the gate which leads up to victory road. There are no edits here at all, and I am able to pass through the gate due to having the Bolderbadge.

I exit out of a house in Fuchsia City, which is placed on the path that leads you to the Cycling Road. Instently, I notice the text in the top corner which says "YOU WILL PERISH". The city seemed to be glitched and wreaked, it is raining and no music plays. Heading eastward down the path, I see 2 ghosts. The one closest the house I exited says "Take in the air while you still can... Kekeke...." and the one next to him says "Your time... is almost up...". The path continues eastward, and I cant go north due to some glitched blocks, blocking the way. I keep walking eastward towards the City gate only to find it is blocked by 3, un-interactable signs and a ghost. The ghost says "When you find out the truth… You shall join LONLINESS forever! And you shall experience our being!". I explore around the remote City to find Blue is standing at the southern east part of the city. When I approach him, he says "LEAF... I abandoned EEVEE after my RATICATE died. The ghosts tricked me into it…". So, I have found out Blue to be the fool he is! I continue with this story, going through the only door in the town that will work which is the house I entered the City from. Entering the house, I am taken off to the Pokemon Tower. I am trapped in a single, one block space, surrounded by grave stones with 3 Ghosts stood around me. From this point onward, there is truely nothing to do, so I switched off the game.

A few months passed since my encounter with the very odd game. I haven't picked it up since, switching it off and I soon forgot about it. I left it under my bed in a small box of games, not playing it until one Friday afternoon, when my mother was cleaning my bedroom. I got back from college and went up to my room to see her moving the box from under my bed and placing it on the bed. "Sorry dear, I wont be too long." she said as she continued to clean my room. I took the box, gave my mother a hug and went back downstairs, grabbing my DS lite on the way. I threw myself onto the sofa and opened up the small box to find a bundle of different games; which one to play? I looked around in the box until I saw a small, green gamecard hidden under all the other games. It was that weird Pokemon Leaf Green game that I hadn't played in so long! I remembered being stuck in the Pokemon Tower, but I was eager to play this game just for the old times!

Upon going to the title screen, I found that there was a new file named "SORROW" which had a game play time of 10 minuets. From what I remember, the last file was called "LEAF", but whatever! Selecting the file, I am taken into the game! I am in a school building facing the eastern wall, and In the top corner says the maps name, which is "NEGLECT". There is also a ghost stood at the black board. I checked to see if I still had the EEVEE named LONLINESS, but instead I have a BANETTE named UNWANTED at level 18. The sprite of BANETTE is missing its arms, its right eye is a black void and there is a trail of blood from its left eye. It also apears to be frowning, with a MODEST nature and "Met in ??? at Lv 18.". Its moveset is Curse and Grudge, except Grudge is fresh out of PP. Oh yes, and it also has the ability Drizzle, which summons rain when entered in battle. I speak to the ghost and an EEVEE cry is heared as he says "Where did LONLINESS go? Kekeke...". I exit the house and I am in a fairly large area, with a gate surrounding the area and 3 ghosts stood outside the gates to the north, all staring at the house that I just exited. The grass is red like earlyer in the game and I find 3 sign posts and another house, along with one of those people you see at the Pokemon Tower, wondering around.

I interact with sign post which is to the left of the house I left and it says "He brought LEAF here...". I go to the sign post which is directly right from the house and that one says "TRAINER TIPS! It was my only choice… I had to… I just… Had to…" and the final sign post, south of that one says "TRAINER TIPS! She left me aswell?". Befor approaching the final sign post, I desided to speak with the person. She said "LONLINESS..." and I am given a Yes/No answer. I didnt quite follow what she ment, so I chose NO and she says "Don't lie!". I try again, this time selecting YES and she says "Why did you?". Okay, so from what I gather, LEAF also neglected this EEVEE, just like Blue did. I explore the 2nd house to find I am in a Pokemon Center, with a fog in effect. Behind the counter is a Mew and a ghost, both of them saying "...". At the stairs leading to the top floor is the male trainer Red. I walked my character over to him and he says "... I don't know you..." - What? We met in Lavender Town! Maybe he was saying that because LEAF abandoned EEVEE aswell. I go up the stairs and I am teleported to route 22, right outside the gate. Its raining, the grass is red like earlyer, the maps title is "LOOK" and the music changes to the abandoned mansion theme.

I try entering the league building, except the doors wont budge, so I chose to follow the path that would lead me to Viridian City. While following the path, I pass a sign post. Upon interacting with the sign post, I hear an EEVEE cry as the text displays the words; "RATICATE DIED! He doesnt notice me still!". The wall which you can normal hop over is changed to a gate, and on the other side of the gate spells the word "LOOK!". I continue around the path until I get to an area where I cannot pass due to gates blocking the way. On the other side of the gate, there apears to be another word formation, this time it says "... E .". Just alittle north from here is a small door in the cliff side, where I am able to enter. I'm taken to a room where in the center, there are tiles, spelling out the letter "E" - So thats two E's I've seen now. To the north of the room I see Prof Oak. I try walking past him, but he stops me and says "LONLINESS ISN'T THE ONLY ONE... E... E... E...", and sends me back. I walk back to where I entered, and exit through where I am warped off to cave named "LONeLINESS".

By the looks of things, I am at the north west part of Mt Moon. The music ends to silence, and the cave is filled with a fog. I walk south where I find a sign post, and just like with the previous sign post, I hear an EEVEE cry as I interact with it. "I feel so UNWANTED..." says the sign post. I continue walking south where I am met with Blue, and he says "He was nothing but a curse...". The screen fades to black and fades back in, and Blue is nowhere to be seen. I chose to explore the cave abit, walking eastward from where I spoke to Blue. Suddenly, the room changes as if I exited through a ladder. From what I gather, I am in a lower part of the cave with a large path way, shaped like a C. As I walk around the path, I find a third "E" written on the ground. I head towards the end of the path to a waiting ladder, where I exit out of the cave into a route with a single path way heading east, simalar to the first path in the game except I am surrounded by endless cave walls instead of gates. The music begins to play as I notice its the Lavender Town theme song. There is a sign post here and as I interact with it, I hear an EEVEE cry as the text apears on screen, saying "I'm not a curse...". Towards the end of the path I find a single path of grass, and as soon as I step into the grass I am engaded in battle.

A level 10 EEVEE scrolls in, but instead of it saying "Wild EEVEE apeared", it says "LONLINESS looks sad!". I send out my level 18 BANETTE and Drizzle is activated. Since the BANETTE is fresh out of Grudge PP, I have no choice but to use Curse.

"UNWANTED used CURSE! UNWATED wants Wild LONLINESS to suffer! Wild LONLINESS used GRUDGE! Wild LONLINESS is bearing its emotions... Rain continues to fall. Wild LONLINESS is feeling agonising pain!"

Since I can't use any other attack, the battle just continues with that until LONLINESS finaly faints from the Curse, except it says "Wild LONLINESS died!". My BANETTE gains some exp, and I sent back to the overworld. This time, it is raining, the maps name is "SUFFER", there is no music playing, the grass patch is missing, there is a door in the wall above me, and the overworld sprite of my character has changed. Her body is completly white, her eyes are red and she has red markings on her hands. I checked my trainer card to see her sprite matches her overworld sprite. I check my Pokemon to see I still have the BANETTE, but its back at full HP and Curse is back up to 10/10 PP, but Grudge is still at 0/5 PP. I go through the door and I apear outside Lavender Towns; Pokemon Tower. The grass has changed to red, its still raining, the barriers have changed from wooden ones to white ones, and they are also closer, leaving me with alittle less space to explore. The Pokemon Towers door is missing, the music kicks in as the Pokemon Tower theme, and there are four sign posts beside the Tower in order. I read each one of them from top to bottom, and their text is as follows;

"Why didn't you listen to me?" "Now you're cursed!" "You could have saved us both!" "Do you regret?"

I remembered that the sign post befor the battle with LONLINESS said "I'm not a curse...", and befor that, the sign posts constently labled LONLINESS as a bad curse. This led me to believe that it was LONLINESS who was speaking through the sign posts. Outside of the barriers are 3 ghosts, and when I explore the houses, there is no one in them. However, in the last house I check which is the one most south west, I find that the tiles are white with "E" written on the floor in green. Also, there is a Cubone stood on the letter E. When I approach the Cubone and interact with it, it says "Fourth letter E!". I exit the house and I apear back in the bedroom from the start of the game, except the bed is missing and there is a letter "V" on the floor. I interact with the TV and it says the following;

"E E V E E Put the E where it belongs..."

Four E's and a letter V, spelling out EEVEE! I head downstairs and the only thing in the room is another TV. I interact with it, and it says "You no longer exist... You have no purpose... But... Maybe you can... Ask for forgiveness..."

I leave the house and I am in Pallet Town. There is another change to the overworld sprite as I am nothing but 2 red eyes and a red mouth. Stood infront of me, looking up at me are Red and Blue. I first desided to check if my trainer card had changed - 4 Minuets of gameplay, no sprite and the name had changed from SORROW to LOOK! I then check my party to see I have a faceless, level 10 EEVEE named " PUT 2 REST". Its nature is MODEST and its only move is GUILLOTINE.

I speak to Red and he says "Where is LEAF? Where is LONELINESS?". Right away I noticed that the word LONELINESS had its missing letter E placed back in it! I then speak to Blue and he says "LEAF got the brunt of the curse... Its all my fault...". Just below them is a sign post, and when I interacted with it, I heared an EEVEE cry, followed by the text "LONELINESS was put to rest... R.I.P". As soon as the R.I.P apears on screen, the credits music from Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald plays, and I am locked into the text and unable to leave it. The music would play till the end, and once it did I am sent right back to the start of the game, where I have the level 10 EEVEE named LONLINESS.

I understand the story now, but do you understand the story?

Banjo-Kazooie (MMM portrait)

BANJO-KAZOOIE (MMM portrait)
===========================

I remember when I was younger; I was about eight or nine, you know. The innocent life. Not a care in the world, so I spent a good amount of my childhood playing video games. Yes video games; it's nothing to be ashamed about. I made friends with other kids who played it, too.

I knew a kid back then who went by the name of Tony. He told me a story about some strange thing that happened to him while playing Banjo-Kazooie. He gave me specific instructions of what to do and what would happen. He spoke of Mad Monster Mansion and the portrait of Gruntilda that was in there. He spoke, saying if I crashed into the portrait using the fly-pad it would summon up a monster. As a frightened little child, I believed him, till one day I summoned up the courage to try what he told me years ago.

Nothing happened. It was just a little lie he told me, a little story he believed. So I did it again and again countless times, knowing that it was all fake with nothing to worry about. I found it amusing - I'm not sure why - so I would crash into it over and over again going to that same place where the monster would show up. It never did; that lone pipe outside the mansion you could fit into as a pumpkin was always empty. There was never anything more or anything less.

Of course, not everything is predictable; not everything follows the same routine. I tried it again one day not too long ago. About a week or two, well let’s just say things took a turn for the worst. You hear these stories and don't think anything of them; "Oh, they are just stories. It doesn't matter. It'll be alright," they say. Of course, this time I did it I almost broke a tear from how terrified I was.

I went into the room where Napper was, empty and quiet with nothing but a huge table and some chairs. I climbed on top of the table got aboard the fly pad. I mashed the B button facing Gruntilda’s portrait. The bear and bird duo flew into the portrait with a big crash as expected, but this time a different noise I heard was there. It sounded like someone had broken a bone or something, almost as if there was literal pain. I didn't think anything of it, so I left the room as normal.

Heading towards Mumbo’s skull, I came across that pipe with the Jiggy inside, but the oddest thing happened. Banjo seemed to have fallen underneath the level. I thought I had glitched the game or something - something new & exciting that I hadn't seen before. That was till I realized his legs were crawling through that small hole where the pipe was; he was clawing at the ground not making a noise - not even music - and he just flailed his arms wildly as he slowly got dragged inside. Frightened, I dropped my controller and backed away from the TV.

Next thing I know, it shows the inside of the pipe; Banjo looked fine. He was just standing in the middle of that pipe, looking around. The music, although back, was a little distorted as if played in reverse...but it couldn't be more than a freaky glitch, right? I slowly reached for my controller when I saw a giant dark hand fall slowly from the ceiling. I screamed and Banjo followed suit. It dragged him up to the ceiling, almost like the Wallmasters from Ocarina of Time.

The sounds of bones cracking was heard. Banjo screamed in a voice as if his throat was filled with blood and unspeakable true pain. The music slowed itself and turnd to static. The hand pulled him up slowly and painfully. As it got closer to the screen, I could just see the hand gripped around his neck nearly tearing Banjo in two; it was as if his head would pop off at any moment. I couldn't believe what I was seeing. Banjo flailed around as the hand dragged him up to the darkness by Banjo's face till eventually the screen went completely dark.

Next thing I know, the game over transition occurred, but the black background with the witch's face was red. Surely this couldn't be real. I had to be dreaming, but somehow I knew I wasn't. I was frozen in my place with beads of sweat falling down my face. Then it happened to start the game over cut scene. Tooty, Grunty, and Klungo were all together, except it was definitely different.

Tooty was strapped into a chair with Klungo standing at her side. Grunty was slowly cutting into Tootys arm, dissecting her like fresh piece of meat. The screams from Tooty were to painful to hear while her head shook violently in agony. Grunty held up the knife and continued to pierce through her arm. After it was cut off she threw it to Klungo and he started to gnaw on it. Gruntilda's eyes were filled with madness - wait, no, madness isn't the word for this. This was a true pleasure from causing pain. A fantasy fufilled. She enjoyed herself with a wicked and sadistic grin.

With the knife she carved into Tooty's stomach, letting the blood flow out and the organs drop to the ground, splatting in a way too realistic for a game to recreate. No way could this be real; I kept telling myself it wasn't, but it was and I knew it. I just couldn't accept it. Grunty held the knife up to her mouth and licked fresh blood off of it. Satisfied but still eager for more, she violently stabbed Tooty in the eye then threw the eye across the room. She leaned into Tooty, smiling and chanting quietly as she slowly slit the blade across Tooty's neck; the knife began to slowly drip with the blood of her victim.

It faded out to a soundless black screen; the TV was definitely on, but there was nothing on the screen. I stood in place, still too scared to move. I still cannot believe what I had witnessed. After a couple days, I decided to try it again. Surely, no one could sell something like that to the public, right? I went through and crashed into the picture; I was nervous but I slowly walked up to the pipe.

There was nothing.

I stood, waiting, but it didn't happen. Everything played as normal. I tried multiple times but it wouldn't work. Why would it work that one time but not any other? What came over my game and made it insane? I wish I could've moved, gotten a picture or a video. Anything I could've gotten as a shred of proof. I'm not asking you to believe me; I just want to share my tale with whoever it may interest.

I'll keep trying it, this time prepared and maybe, just maybe, I can get a single photo of what happened that night.

Starfox 64 (Sacorguy79)

STARFOX 64 (Sacorguy79)
======================

Most people would probably be aware the paranormal activity knows no bounds when it comes to certain stories about video-games. This story comes from an incident that never should’ve occurred.

It was around early spring when the weather was getting warm and the snow was all dried-out. I was playing some old Nintendo 64 games, two of them in particular being Goldeneye 007 and Starfox 64. When I was playing Starfox, Slippy Toad was, of course, annoying the hell out of me for wanting me to destroy an enemy fighter that was on his tail. I was exhausted of doing the same routine over and over again, so instead I made pointless attempts to shoot him down. But this was odd, because I actually shot him and it hit through the glass of the cockpit. I then saw frog guts spilling out, and a very disturbing red substance that began to form into what looked like Giygas from Mother 3. The game then proceeded to give me an answer from Peppy who remained sitting there. Suddenly, his eyes began to bleed and soon, I only saw black sockets. I could hear the blood-curling moans coming from him as he attempted to tell me to “do a barrel roll”.

This scared the hell out of me, but it only became worse: Falco came up and started hurling insults at me as if Peppy’s death was my fault. My jaw dropped, and I proceeded to shout at the game to stop what it’s doing. Then, Falco’s eyes began to bleed and his stomach split open, revealing the internal organs that almost made me hurl. I immediately ripped out the game cartridge and smashed it with a hammer, and I sat down on the couch. I literally began to shed a few tears due to the gruesome result. Why did those characters suffer like that? What caused all this to happen? But most importantly, I then realized that I bought this game off of Ebay, and the seller seemed a bit strange.

About a half-hour later, I emailed the person who sold me the Starfox 64 cartridge, writing:

“Hello, “TheBloodKiller”. Recently, I ordered a Starfox 64 cartridge and received it, but the game was messed up with a very disturbing scene that occurred while I was playing. What the hell is wrong with the game? Did you hack into it and replace some parts of the game with those bloody videos and images?!? If not, I am sorry to accuse you, but I must know where these came from!

-Sacorguy79"

I waited all day for a reply, because when I ordered the item I received an email from him just 15 minutes later thanking me for purchasing his game. But no reply whatsoever, not even a quick note. I ate supper and decided to go to bed. Before I climbed in, I looked at myself in a mirror and my eyes were bloodshot. I was extremely stressed, and I knew that this incident couldn’t drag on forever. Soon, I found myself sleeping and having a dream.

In my dream, it was dark and stormy, and I was approaching a broken, ruined house. Apparently I was in a suburban territory in a place I didn’t recognize, but I didn’t want to disturb anyone in their homes. So I wandered into the house, and found most of the furniture tore up and ruined. One odd thing, however, was that I saw a statue of Slippy Toad from Starfox 64 in the center of the dining room, as well as a small model of an arwing. Lightning flashed after I noticed and both disappeared at that direct moment. I blinked, thinking that all of this was real, and decided to lie down on the couch. That’s when I began to hear strange noises emitting from the upstairs bedrooms. I slowly descended the staircase, and I was seeing shadows that looked like Falco and Peppy, so I raced up the stairs more quickly. I found the youngest member’s bedroom and found a television on playing the same videos I saw when I was playing Starfox earlier, and a sticky-note on the television that only read this:

“Run”

At that moment, I was beginning to hear voices, whispering to me as if they were coming out of the shadows, saying “Get out of here!”. They sounded just like the voices from Batman: Arkham Asylum! I then got the hint as I raced down the stairs and briefly glanced into the dining room as I ran, seeing those shadows of Peppy and Falco and that statue of Slippy! Once I ran out of the house however, the sky was red and I saw in front of me an executed Fox Macloud with Slippy, Peppy, and Falco standing by his body. They were all missing eyes and holding large axes! Not only that, but the houses were all broken into, tons of dead bodies burning on the ground. Falco slowly approached me, saying “This is all your fault.”

That’s when I woke up sitting up straight with a MP5 in my hand (I usually have that gun in my hand when I sleep, in case of something unexpected), glancing around my room nervously. It was morning, so I proceeded to get up and go to my television. I turned on the news and saw a broken home located in New Jersey that looked exactly like the one I saw in my dream. The name of the owner was Harold Whinshlow, but the news reporter said “Most people refer to him as “TheBloodKiller” on Ebay, where he formerly sold tons of old video-games. Inside the house was a statue of a video-game character that looks like a Toad dressed up as a space pilot from Star Wars.” I noticed too, that on my coffee table was the Starfox 64 cartridge, and it was repaired from the hammer smashes I gave it the other day. I looked at it, and decided to send it to a distant country so I wouldn’t have to see the bloody thing again.

I now live in peace, along with the rest of my Nintendo 64 games, and I can only hope that no one stumbles across that cursed Starfox cartridge ever again.

Banjo's Murder (Banjo-Tooie)

BANJO'S MURDER
==============

/*January 9^th , 2012*/

I suppose that before I start to tell you all my story, I should tell you that it is very hard for me to tell, it hurts me to even think about it, so forgive me if I start to get emotional.

I had just become a werewolf in Skyrim and was screwing around in Whiterun, the usual just running around on useless save files, killing people. I had recently bought Banjo Tooie off of Ebay for a few bucks. I couldn't wait for it to arrive. Well, today, it came.

I heard a thud coming from outside in front of my door, so I quickly turned off my Xbox 360 and ran upstairs. When I opened my front door, there was a package, I quickly ran inside and opened it, finding the cartridge for Banjo Tooie, with a note taped to it. I took off the note and a flash drive had fallen out of it.

All the note had on it was the word "Sorry.exe". I thought little of it and threw the note away and plugged in my Nintendo 64, and put in my favorite game, Banjo Tooie. It had been a very long time since I had played Banjo Tooie and I couldn't wait to play the game. There was already a file created, assuming it was a file of the previous owner, I left it alone and created a file on the second picture.

I had played the game for a few days and noticed a few bugs. Every once in a while, the screen would randomly flicker red and white very quickly and then return to normal. I figured it was just because the game cartridge was old and continued to play. After I had started the Glitter Gulch Mine world, I began to notice that there were fewer enemies than I had remembered, I put this off as me just not remembering correctly and continued to play. After beating Glitter Gulch Mine, I moved onto the world named Witchyworld. After roaming around Witchyworld (my favorite world) for a while, I got bored and began climbing the ladder that led up to the dive area. It’s the area where you jump from the top and into a pool at the bottom, any Banjo Tooie fan knows what I’m talking about, anyways, as I got to the top, I paused the game to go and get a Pepsi from upstairs. When I came back, the game was unpaused, and Banjo was just standing there, not moving, almost as if he was looking straight at me through the television screen.

At first, I thought that when I got up, I might have kicked the controller, causing it to unpause and turn Banjo around. So I picked up the controller and tried moving Banjo with the control stick, only for him to not move. I began rapidly tapping buttons to see if it was just my controller, nothing worked, Banjo didn’t jump nor did the camera zoom in or out. I thought that something was loose in the outlet where you plug the controller into the Nintendo 64, so I leaned over, put my right hand on the system, and my left hand on the cord, and was about to pull it out, when I heard the sound the Banjo makes when he talks. So I looked up to see the most disturbing dialogue ever. Right on the screen were the words

“Don’t pull that cord.”

I stood up, and ran on to my bed, and began to stare at the screen.

“What the hell?” I began to ask myself what was happening. Banjo suddenly began to move in ways I had never seen before.

It was almost life-like. He took his backpack off on his own and began rummaging through it. He eventually pulled out a picture of me!

Yes, it was me, myself! I put my hand up to my mouth in complete and utter shock, not knowing what would happen next, and was about to scream when more dialogue showed up by itself on the screen.

“This is what is going to happen to you if you dare pull out that cord.”

The camera then zoomed into the picture of my face and it started to become grotesque and mangled up. Blood started oozing from my eyes and mouth, and my jaw seemed to start becoming more and more dislocated. My flesh started peeling and falling off, revealing the muscles in my face.

Then, as the picture became more and more grisly, a screech emitted from the speakers. But it wasn’t a cartoonish, video game scream. This was the most realistic and disturbing scream I have ever heard in my life.

The camera suddenly zoomed out of the camera so reveal Banjo choking Kazooie, literally choking with one fist clamped around the bird’s neck. Banjo had a look of pure hatred in his eyes as he shook the bird back and forth, the screeching became more and more violent and painful to listen to until it became gagging, and slowly faded until it was silent, only the music of Witchyworld could be heard playing in the background. Banjo just grinned and through the lifeless bird of the edge, and snickered to himself.

At this point in time, I was already scared to death as it was, but seeing Banjo the bear violently strangle Kazooie to death, well that just made it 10 times worse. I sat there staring at Banjo laughing to himself with his evil smirk for a few more moments before his voice began to echo around my room. I could hear his gobbling sound he makes when he talks grow in volume.

I looked at the screen to see the words, “I will kill you, you are nothing, and you know nothing.”

I screamed and quickly jumped off of my bed and to the Nintendo 64, pulling the power switch, turning the system off. I couldn’t take any more of what was happening. I still haven’t turned on the console since the incident took place.

I’m afraid too, what will happen to me If I do? Well, I suppose that tomorrow is the day that I find out, that’s right, I’m going to conquer my fears and turn the game back on tomorrow, I will be recording what happens that night on this blog again, so you will know every single thing that happens.

/*January 10^th */

So I turned the game back on today, and I regret doing it. As soon as I turned the power on, the screen flashed red and black quickly. It did this for a few minutes until I could make out Banjo swinging on a swing.

I could hear a faint squeaking as Banjo moved back and forth on the swing. I could hear the music that plays in Witchyworld in the background, except it was distorted, making it painful to listen to. Banjo continued swinging but I noticed he began to slowly turn his head towards the screen.

After a minute or two of this, he stopped swinging, and just stared at me, with his cold eyes. I was about to hit the pause button when he got off the swing and started walking towards me. I rapidly began to push the pause button but it wouldn’t pause.

Banjo continued to walk towards me, slowly he made his way over. I literally started screaming as he got closer and closer to the screen. I could hear the laughter of Gruntilda the Witch in the background, slightly distorted, but growing in volume.

Banjo finally got so close to the camera that only his head could be seen. Then, everything stopped, the music, the laughter, everything. For a few moments, I could catch my breath, but then, all of the sudden, Banjo’s head was thrusted towards the right, popping bones out of his neck, and then the other way, the same thing happened.

I instantly vomited all over myself, my bed, and the floor. Blood was all over Banjo, then his head was thrusted forward and backward, bones popped out everywhere. Banjo’s eyes turned pitch black as he stood there.

He began to slowly float upward into the sky. He eventually stopped and I knew what was going to happen, he was going to be brutally beaten again. And I was right, at first, only his left leg was slowly lifted into the air, but then violently twisted, bones popped out of the back of his knee and his leg.

The same thing happened to the right leg, but Banjo had begun to scream this time. His arms were lifted into the air and pulled out of their sockets, flying in separate directions, blood went everywhere. The screen flashed red and then showed Banjo sitting in some sort of torture contraption.

A lever was pulled as the machine began to pull Banjo apart, the screaming became more intense. His body was ripped apart and his intestines spilled out onto the floor. The screen flashed red again and Banjo was sitting in Spiral Mountain, in front of his house, doing his usual idle animations, such as moving his head back and forth, etc.

/*January 11^th */

Yesterday, when Banjo was back in front of his house in Spiral Mountain, I saved the game and turned the system off, not wanting to see anymore gruesome things happen. Plus, I had to clean up the vomit that was all over me, the bed, and the floor.

I put the flash drive into my computer today, all that was on it was a text document named "Sorry.exe". I instantly recognized the name, thinking back to the note that came with the game. I opened the file and the following text appeared on my screen.

"a^ygriv84d**rzxdcvebbasde/asde. killthemkillthemkillthemkillthemkillthemkillthemkillthemkillthemkillthemkillthemkillthem hytsou ijcfdarionit jifougtds. Pppaceradket receiew4edtrved. agouhrerng iojgtho6asdfijey're ghjutichreutomfgdsriasdfhng. close-A102^vxhwy.exe run".

I quickly threw out both the game cartridge and the flash drive. I hope nothing like this ever happens to me again.

Tails Doll (Sonic R)

TAILS DOLL
==========

Sonic the Hedgehog is my favorite Video Game character of all time. Fast and cool, who wouldn`t love him? Well, there was still something odd about one of his past games. Sonic R. Sonic R is a racing game featuring the cast of Sonic along with two new characters:

Metal Knuckles is a neat character introduced. Obviously, the metal Doppelganger of Knuckles the Echidna.

Tails Doll is, well... just creepy. He`s an orange doll with some white like Tails, has stitches, lifeless black eyes, and a blood-red gem attached to a piece of wire.

What`s creepy is that someone unknown began an internet fad of curses that will cause you to see this dreaded demon and will get you murdered. Apparently, if you tag Super Sonic with the Doll, he`ll turn around and come out of your TV to kill you. Another curse says that if you play the songs "Can You Feel the Sunshine?" or "Livin` in the City" in a locked bathroom with the lights turned off, you`ll see a red light. In another few accidents, some people have said that their Tails Doll character is missing from the character screen.

I wished to see if this would be true. It sounded really fake, but I had to try it out. I searched for a copy of the game on Ebay with a SEGA Saturn to go with it, and I found one from a seller named "BuyMahStuffplz". The price was $35.67 counting the GST, so that`s not so bad. When I got it, I invited my friend over and we each had an airsoft gun by eachother. But as soon as I booted up the game, there were a few graphic glitches here and there, and as soon as I picked the first race, I was playing as Egg-Robo, in some sort of hellish world. It wasn`t a race, but it was like an adventure field. After walking around a bit, there was a weird cutscene. We saw Egg-Robo`s front, but then a knife was stabbed through him. He then actually began to bleed with guts spilling out, which made my friend and I stare at the screen in a real jaw-drop fashion. Then the screen turned very black only to see a pair of red-glowing eyes and a red-glowing gem.

The Saturn immediately began to smoke and pretty much crashed. My friend and I were panacked and we checked the box that the game came in. We saw a note that read this:

"I have set the Saturn to do an emergancy crash in case you do anything reckless in the game: like tagging four characters."

We went back to the TV, but it showed a picture of the Tails Doll on the screen, and it said, "Thank You for playing with me!" The TV then turned off by itself.

I don`t know what to say about this rouh game copy, but as far as I`m concerned, it`s now in a better home... burning in my fireplace.
